To unite his love for pickleball with a unique approach: giving away paddles to those new to the sport and creating the best paddles he would love to use himself. Instead of an overwhelming array of options, Matt focuses on the perfect combination of materials, size, shape, and thickness for each paddle, and calls it done.
Additionally, Matt ensures that Chorus offers quality apparel suitable for both playing on the court and wearing out with friends and family.
"Find Your Frequency" is the motto and mission of Chorus Pickleball. At Chorus, frequency means style—your personal style of play, how often you play, and how you express yourself through the sport. Every player is unique, and Chorus believes no one should settle for low-quality paddles or apparel. Every product they make is designed for professional play and display.
Interestingly, paddles have a literal frequency, measured in hertz, when tapped, creating a musical note. Chorus will list these frequencies for each paddle model.
Matt’s passion for introducing new players to pickleball by giving away his paddles is a core part of Chorus Pickleball. As his game improved, so did the cost of his paddles, making it expensive to keep giving them away. This led him to create his own quality paddles in large quantities, which he continues to give away to new players in his community of McKinney, TX, and beyond. Starting in March/April 2024, Chorus will launch its paddle lines and give away paddles monthly to those new to the sport or in need of a little encouragement to start playing.
Chorus's wide control model, the Chorus Daylight, is a high-quality paddle made with materials used by professional players. It will be available for purchase while Matt continues his tradition of giving them away.
Matt has spent months researching the latest technology in paddle cores, surfaces, and construction methods. This knowledge has gone into creating a few initial paddle models he personally endorses. The first phase of Chorus focuses on launching these pro-caliber paddles at sustainable prices, lower than big brands.
The second phase involves deeper R&D to innovate beyond current technology, aiming to introduce groundbreaking advancements to the pickleball market.
